Wok Hei
A living, breathing rooftop sculpture of glass, light, colour and fog for Hakkasan's outdoor restaurant atop the Alila SCBD hotel in Jakarta. Taking its name from the Cantonese notion of "the breath of the wok" — the blending of aromas and textures in a hot pan — the piece pairs an architectural object with the ephemeral elements of light and fog, driven by a generative software system that undulates between subtle, suggestive and dramatic, like a night in the metropolis.
