The Tides Within Us

A cross-sectoral collaboration with Fraunhofer MEVIS using high-end MR research to peer into the human body as a fluid event. Working from medical data acquired on a clinical MR scanner, the work became a series of interactive screens that invite audiences to follow the flow of oxygen through the cardiovascular system in real time — an embodied exploration of the human ecosystem at the edge of art, science and technology. Premiered in Human Nature at York Art Gallery and presented as part of Observations on Being for Coventry UK City of Culture 2021. Honorary Mention, S+T+ARTS Prize 2021.
